Yoli (“we,” “us”) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing neurodiversity-affirming ABA therapy in Albany, California. This policy describes what information we collect through this website (yoli.care), how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the website only; information you share with us as a client family is additionally protected under applicable health-privacy laws and our clinical policies.
Information you give us
When you contact us — through our inquiry form, by phone, text, fax, or email — you may share contact details and information about your family and your child, including health-related information. We use it only to respond to you, assess fit, and provide our services. We treat it as confidential, we do not sell it, and we do not share it except with service providers who help us operate (see below) or where the law requires.
Our inquiry form is hosted by Google Forms, and donations are processed by Zeffy. What you submit there is also handled under those providers’ own privacy policies (Google, Zeffy).
Health information & HIPAA
Yoli is a healthcare provider subject to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Health information you share with us when inquiring about or receiving services — including what you tell us about your child in an inquiry — is protected health information (PHI), and we handle it in accordance with HIPAA and our Notice of Privacy Practices. That protection applies from your first inquiry; it does not depend on whether you have started services with us.
Our inquiry form runs on Google Forms under a business associate agreement (BAA) with Google, which contractually requires HIPAA-level safeguards for what you submit there. That agreement covers the form itself — it does not extend to the advertising-measurement tools described in “Information collected automatically” below, which is why those tools never receive the contents of anything you submit.
Our Notice of Privacy Practices — which describes your rights under HIPAA, including access to your records, requesting amendments, and how to file a complaint with us or with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services — is provided at intake, posted at our office, and available any time on request using the contact details below.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we use Google Tag Manager and Google Ads conversion measurement to understand how visitors find us and whether our outreach works (for example, whether someone who clicked one of our ads went on to contact us). These tools may set cookies and collect device and usage information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit.
We use this measurement data in aggregate only — to count inquiries and improve our pages. We do not build advertising audiences from visits to this site, and we do not use remarketing.
Our web fonts are self-hosted, so viewing this site does not send font requests to third parties.
How to opt out
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use your browser’s private mode, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out tools. Ad-related cookie personalization can be managed at adssettings.google.com.
Our site does not respond to “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control browser signals — but because we don’t sell or share your information for advertising, there is nothing those signals would need to switch off.
Children
Our website is directed at parents, caregivers, and professionals — not at children. We do not knowingly collect information online from children under 13. Information about your child that you choose to share with us in an inquiry is used only as described above.
Your privacy rights
As a nonprofit, Yoli isn’t covered by the California Consumer Privacy Act — but we honor its spirit anyway. Ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will — unless a law requires us to keep it (for example, clinical record-keeping rules). Asking will never affect how we treat you or your child.
Retention & security
We keep inquiry information only as long as needed to respond and, if you become a client family, as required by clinical record-keeping rules. We limit access to people who need it to serve you.
